Let's take the unknown and make it known!

If you’ve never been to a psychologist or for counseling, it can be a little intimidating, so let’s walk through a few of the steps you’ll go through!

1

After you contact me, I’ll give you a quick call and we’ll chat about what it is you are looking support for, I’ll tell you a bit about me, and we decide if you’d like to move forward.

2

If you decide you want to work with me, we’ll make a first appointment, I’ll send you a couple of documents, like your privacy rights, a service agreement, etc.

3

I will send a short questionnaire, the more thoroughly you answer, the better prepared I’ll be to hit the ground running!

More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable with our initial chat, your decision, and my competency.

4

Virtually or F2F, our first meeting is going over the intake questionnaire, additional questions, and we’ll start looking a bit deeper at issues and goals to work on.

5

If this is your first time in counseling, it is perfectly ok to feel nervous and to wonder what the heck you’re doing there! My job is to try to make everything as smooth and clear to minimize the stress.

6

We’ll spend about 50 min chatting, exploring, asking questions and towards the end we’ll make a plan for how often you want to meet.  And just like that, the first one is done and over!

This space and time is dedicated to and for you. I look forward to seeing you thrive, heal and (re)discover all the strength and beauty within!

And remember, your privacy is my priority. Everything shared is strictly confidential. I take the oath and commitment to my code of ethics extremely seriously.
